Review Summary

Overall, mediocre. Still trying to get the hang of this strange camera with the non touch, hard to navigate menu. Photo quality is great . The only major issue is how horrid the autofocus is. Like nearly unusable.... in stills especially. This camera can, in no way, be used for action photos such as sports etc. A YouTube video by Dustin abbott "sigma fp-L 61mp camera definitive review " goes over and shows autofocus in action to give you a clear idea. If you're a manual only focus person, this camera could be okay for you.

Wow! The image quality, resolution, and color productions are absolutely pro level amazing while coupled to a new 24mm Sigma DG. Shooting through the adjustable EVF is the best experience I've had with a mirrorless. The improved focusing system is a boost too. Using the EVF and an upgraded 1800mah battery alleviates my battery anxiety completely. Although recording video to an external SSD for 4k 12bit raw adds an additional workflow, it is worth it! The amount of adjustable exposure and color dynamics in post is a dream to work with and despite not have log format, you simply don't need that at all with this camera and it actually saves you time.

As a camera that keeps the very essence of photography, the SIGMA fp is the world's smallest and lightest* full-frame mirrorless camera.
You can take it with you anytime, anywhere—this will build a new relationship between you and a full-frame camera.

Pair it with the latest lens and accessories, or enjoy a vintage lens using an adapter. Keep it small and casual to take it out for everyday snaps, or build a full-fledged filmmaking setup.
Old and new, large and small.
Customize your fp just the way you want it, to suit what you want to do.

Change shooting modes with just a flip of a switch. The SIGMA fp goes back and forth seamlessly between video and stills, responding straight to how you like to shoot, going beyond the boundaries of style or genre.
