I purchased this to replace one that fell off, and into the path of a cars wheel. I wish it mounted better, as in - locked in place - rather than just mounting by an interupted screw. I note that the newer Sigma 60-600 seems to have a screw lock. Sigma never responded to my inquiry about this as a warranty issue. The hood is needed, I only wish it stayed on better.

Though the first shipment of the Sigma 18-300mm lens hood I ordered was received damaged/broken in the shipping envelope, Adorama did send a replacement promptly which I appreciated very much. This second shipment was received undamaged. Thanks Adorama! - Keith I.
