I like Sirui products but this one was disappointing 1) If you lean (even slightly) on the arm, the rotation binds up 2) The rotation lock screws in to detents at each degree mark. While it is very secure, it can move the gimbal 4-5 feet at 200 feet meaning you have to adjust the tripod if you want to be oriented at a subject that falls in the half degree range. It would be better to have a friction lock that is infinitely adjustable. 3) When in the sun, the unit leaked a tacky, viscous fluid from the elevation bearing. This is the second unit I've seen with this defect. I decided to stay with my 200 dollar ProMaster as it swings as well and rotates much better than the Sirui

This product is amazing. It is very well built, light but sturdy, buttery smooth operation. You can balance your rig in seconds, really. Oh, and it comes with a very nice and professional carrying case that is really of amazing quality. It is made of carbon fiber so it is light but I was surprised how large it was. Once you start balancing the rig with it, you would really admire the functionality and the size. Its worth every penny and it is a product that will last you for a very long time.

First use on recent 7 day tour Florida bird shoot. Put my SIRUI PH-20 head on tripod with Canon l series 100-400 IS and Canon 7D II body. Horizontal pan was NOT fluid/smooth, but seemed to frequently bind; too much resistance to quickly compose for moving birds. The vertical, however, was butter smooth.
