The 21mm is the third lens I've bought from this set (along w/ 35 and 75), and I've been impressed with all of them. In particular, the combination of wide field of view and wide aperture of this lens has been great. Focus and aperture rings hand nicely and - though a very wide field of view - there's not a lot of corner distortion. By comparison, I have SLR Magic's cine 18mm which only opens to 2.8 and optically isn't as pleasing. I also have their cine 25mm which has terrible circular flaring with almost any exposure to sunlight. This 21mm however has a pleasing nondescript flare and nice bokeh for the focal length. It's also a pleasure to use with the other lenses in the set.

Choosing a smaller size over bulk and weight, the SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 21mm Lens covers Full-Frame sensors and features E-Mount Suitable for 4K origination, each lens in the MicroPrime Cine series features similar size and weight with consistent lens gear positions for rapid lens changes and easier re-balancing when changing lenses on a gimbal.
The lens incorporates an 11-blade iris that provides a pleasing bokeh with natural-looking, out-of-focus highlights. The odd number of iris blades also reduces the appearance of the flare of the blades. The lens has an internal focus design so the front of the lens doesn't rotate when focusing, and it has an 85mm outer diameter for compatibility with a wide number of clip-on matte boxes.
