The lens has good bokeh control in almost every corner of the frame. Love this wide aperture of this lens. It can be a little soft and dreamy. Enjoy and buy it!

The lens itself seems great. But something that you need to consider is that it may not fit your rig. In fact if your running an x mount camera with a smallrig cage and a follow focus this lens will not stick out far enough to clear the cage and have enough room for the follow focus. I tried everything to make this work. The only way I could use this lens with a follow focus was to take my camera off the cage. Other than that construction and image quality seemed to exceed its price point. Unfortunately, the lens is of no use to me.

I love the SLR Magic mini primes. They are a small cine lens but the image quality is very good. I dropped mine with in the first two days of using and my focus ring is very hard to turn but overall a very good lens for the price.

A beautiful lens with great character. A little soft in the middle when shot wide open, but this is a small price to pay for the great price.

I have all for and I’m begging for an 18mm or a 16mm. The ergonomics alone are worth the purchase. As a filmmaker on a budget the SLR Magic’s offered so much to my films. Phillip Bloom listed these on his top gear of 2018 so I bought them. They all weigh the same, 2lbs perfect for gimbal work, without having to rebalance. Bad ass... lens!
