They are carbon fibre rods. They are 12" long. Really, what more can one ask?

Great for the price and quality
SmallRig really has delivered with price and quality. Carbon fiber is a great addition to a kit if you're carrying it around all day. These are strong and reliable and thankfully quiet when you're modifying your kit during a show or in the background.

Wonderful, as expected
I bought a heavy lens for my camera, and realized it would need support. I already was in the small rig infrastructure; so I Purchased these as a compliment. Very strong, sturdy, and handsome. I’d recommend them in a heartbeat.
