Almost pefect

It's perfect except it could be just a smidge longer, maybe 1/2". Most things that clamp on (including what I'm using to mount my EVF, also a smallrig product) won't fit inbetween the safety pop up studs. Right now i can chose one or the other to have popped up. The clamp covers the other. Not a deal breaker, but just an FYI

Does it's job.

A little too tall for what I needed it for.

quality parts, make sure to measure for proper sizing with your attachment needs

Works as advertised. My hand is a bit wider than the safety pins so make sure to measure your attachment for proper fitment.

Another High Quality Smallrig Product

It's solid and does exactly what I need it to do. After a few uses so far I don't have any concerns about it falling off or any attached accessories falling off.

Great quality, a little long for my cage/camera

I purchased this along with a SmallRig 1955 top handle because I wanted more mounting options beyond the built-in NATO rails on the SmallRig cage I have for my Sony a6500. I had also read there wasn't enough clearance between the lens and the clamp tightening lever so you would need to remove the lens to install the top handle. At least in my case the top handle installed just fine without the additional rail on top. Additionally, the rail seems a bit long when it's installed so (at least in my case with the a6500) it either interfered with the shutter release and on/off or (by sliding it over to avoid that) it then interfered with the built in cold shoe on the cage. It does however give me some more flexibility in balancing the camera's center of gravity with the top handle since the built in NATO rail would be a little short if you had accessories mounted on the left (viewfinder) side of the camera like a microphone or any lighting. Pros: extremely well built and finished. Perfectly matched for the SmallRig cage and will give you numerous mounting options for anything NATO. Cons: a bit too long to mount on top of the a6500 cage. The Allen wrench included seems to just barely fit as if there was a metric to imperial mix up. It does technically fit, but I'm going to pick up the proper sized wrench for my kit.
