Do not fit all small rig cages
Is a good handle, but in the narrow side. Be aware, this does not fit small rig cage for black magic pocket, maybe is for DSLR size, I do not know. Construction is regular like any other handle.

A good top handle from smallrig
Love the top handle from small rig. The design is simple, the built quality is good. Helps me carrying the camera and to shoot low angle shots. The handle comes with a cold shoe and several mounting options.

Nice feel
It?s just what I needed. I got this and a cage instead of a gimble, and it?s improve my stabilization so much. Not at much as a gimble but it?s still a big improvement

Exactly what I needed and nothing I didn't.
It's much smaller than my previous handle (SmallRig Top Handle 1446), which works wonderfully for me. I paired it with a SmallRig monitor attachment (SmallRig Monitor Mount with Arri Locating Pins 2174) and a 5" monitor is in the perfect place for me. I like that it has a magnetized Allen wrench in a slot on the handle itself and I like that, while small, my hand fits nicely with three fingers on the handle and my index finger in front of it for the most control in doing low handheld shots.
I had a 7" monitor on top first, but without a battery in the back, it became too front heavy, BUT the 5" monitor is much higher quality in terms of screen and functionality, so it was the best fit anyway.
It's important to note that you need to find what makes the most sense for you and your shooting style. This combination fits my needs perfectly, but it's not a one size fits all kind of thing.

A handle with grip!
Like all Smallrig parts it's well made and surprisingly affordable. The rubberized finish feels nice (I didn't need the extra mounting points of the 'cheese style' handle). It's not to large to look silly on a DSLR cage either. All in all, it's a good product at a fair price. If you want a handle with a bit more grip, give this one a go.

Great well built!
i have had this handle for about 2 weeks now and i Love it. The grip is soft rubber and the construction is well built. One note is that the cold shoe is a little wide causing mounts to twist a little but its not a huge problem.

SmallRig Top Handle with Cold Shoe, Cheese
This saved me! Price is right, it is strong, secure and fits snugly on my cage for my Panasonic GH5. I can carry my camera with confidence and capture those hard to get shots where a tripod gets in the way. Also love the ability to mount options for extra gear as needed.
