Very useful when there's too much light

This hood really helps when the surroundings are just too bright and cause too much reflection on the screen to see clearly. It fits snug onto the frame and is easily removed when it's not needed. The two attachment arms come in handy since I have the SmallRig cage for my 4K; I can use this hood either way.

Another reason to like Small Rig

Small Rig products are well built, dependable, and affordable. The sun shade for my BMPCC 6k is perfect when shooting in bright environments. The shade elements were intuitive to assemble and the shade fits snugly to the camera while still allowing easy access to the touchscreen.

About SmallRig Sun Hood for Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K & 6K

SmallRig Sun Hood for BMPCC 4K & 6K VH2299 helps provide great viewing experience in harsh lighting environment. It can attach to the camera top screw directly or work with SmallRig BMPCC 4K & 6K Cage 2203, CVB2254 and CVB2255 by a 1/4 screw. It consists of two parts - the square frame and the leather hood.

The frame screws into the camera/cage, and the hood is designed to quickly clip into the frame. The hood part is foldable for storage and transport. There are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw holes on the top of the frame where you can mount accessories like SmallRig Universal SSD Holder BSH2343.
