I absolutely love my Sony A7C II. This camera has completely elevated the quality of my photography. Since switching to the A7C II, I've seen a huge jump in the clarity and sharpness of my photos. The detail and color accuracy are simply amazing. Whether I'm shooting landscapes, portraits, or food, the results are consistently stunning. The A7C II delivers incredible image quality in a compact and lightweight body - it's exactly what I was looking for. The dynamic range and autofocus performance are top-notch, and it handles low light beautifully. If you're thinking about upgrading or want a full-frame camera that won't weigh you down, I can't recommend the Sony A7C II enough. It's a game-changer for any serious enthusiast or content creator.

The a7Cii was my choice because of its combination of full-frame image quality and compact size. Having used a7R's in my profession I was also familiar with many of the features and menu structures of the a7C. Now that I've used the camera in the field here in Colorado and also on an international trip, I am almost completely satisfied with my purchase. At this point in time I have only one gripe and I'm hoping Sony can address it in a firmware update. When I'm in the field, two viewfinder features are most important to me. Most important is the constant use of a viewfinder histogram. I would think this feature would also be very important for most seasoned photographers. My second most important feature is the level and not being able to have both available at the same time is frustrating. I do hope Sony can address this.

Excellent compact camera. I was looking to upgrade my Sony A7III and was perfectly happy to get the A7IV, but I saw this model had pretty much the same specs in a smaller body. I like how the viewfinder is off to the side, so my nose doesn't activate the touchscreen. Can't seem to disable the electronic shutter noise, which is the only drawback to far.

Is not a perfect camera because crop 1.5 when in 60 fps. But absolutely awesome camera.

I upgraded my A7C to the A7C II last September 2024 and I am glad i did. The mark II now has an AI chip that improves on faster focus. The better sensor is also an improvement from the 24 the 33mp. More focus points (429 to 759).

Bought this as my "B" camera body to go with my A7RV and it has caught me! I reach for this one first unless it's a serious wildlife or sports opportunity.

I recently switched from APS-C and I'm impressed with how familiar this is in weight and form factor while still packing in everything I'd expect from a high-end Sony body.

Down sizing to a manageable lighter camera system was my goal and with the full frame A7c II I think I accomplished what I was looking for.

The performance is great, however, I wish the handle was a bit larger like the a6700... Also, the ISO setting location on the back dial doesn't work. I kept changing my ISO inadvertently with normal handling. I finally removed that feature and left the "ISO" featured space blank.

Recently I saw that my brother had sold everything he had to make a change for the Sony a7c machines. He purchased both models, so I got to hear about their performance and features from one of the most intense photographers I know. He explores every feature and every convenience a camera offers. I'm not a professional like he is so I am allowed to make mistakes, but I didn't. The controls on the camera are easy to reach and it still is comfortable for my hand size. I enjoy the control dials to avail myself to shooting fine jpeg black and white when I want to break away from RAW. Thirty-three megapixels is still more than I need but standards are changing and I can able to cope comfortably with this. The touch screen makes life easier, although it would be faster if my eyesight was better. (Not a Sony issue) The optional handgrip is a must though I am glad to be able to remove it for tripod work. Sony lenses are a great reason to buy this camera! Being able to turn the sound off is a selling point for me. It's just noise!

I brought this camera a few days ago and everyday is a new and better experience. I was blessed to be able to do a new york fashion week event. I was so impressed with raw power of this camera. How fast and accurate the auto focus was, was VERY impressive as well. I am a VERY satisfied customer!!

Love the camera and moved up from Olympus MFT. Sadly, Adorama did not ship my body plate correctly and I am going on vacation with the means to use my tripod. The camera and all the other gear I ordered in December 2023 arrived correctly and were exactly what was ordered.

I switched from another system specifically because this camera looked like it would be unobtrusive, fast handling, and capable in low light. I was NOT disappointed.

This product is so awesome ! I've just upgraded from a Canon DSLR. So I'm on team Sony now. Shutter speed is very impressive and the picture quality.

After almost 2 years of talking about and pining for this camera, I finally got my hands on it, and yet, now I am actually faced with an unexpected dilemma, should I keep it when I already own, possibly a better compact camera! (Check out my complete thoughts in the below video) Yet, this is an easy recommendation for anybody looking for a hybrid camera... and it's a perfect upgrade from the original; almost everything about it has been improved. The handling alone, is enough of a reason for you to buy this over the original A7C!

Great for people used to APS-C bodies
By AARON S.
I recently switched from APS-C and I'm impressed with how familiar this is in weight and form factor while still packing in everything I'd expect from a high-end Sony body.

Compared to its predecessor, the Sony Alpha 7C II Camera has received significant upgrades, most notably is its higher resolution sensor, better video resolution at higher frame rates, and a vastly improved autofocus system using the latest AI technology. It has a 33.0MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor capable of shooting 4k video at 30p. It’s 759-point phase detection AF system covers 94% of the image area so you can easily track different subjects such as humans, animals, birds, cars, and more. With its 5-axis optical image stabilization, you can capture smooth, clear images with any one of Sony’s 70+ compatible E-mount lenses.
Compact and lightweight, the α7C II is the full-frame camera that serious creators have been waiting for. Packed with cutting-edge capture technology for both stills and movies, it’s the essential tool for capturing the world the way you want to.

Delivering outstanding performance and excellent image quality for both stills and movies, the α7C II's new 33.0 megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor provides high-speed readout, high sensitivity from ISO 100 to ISO 51200, low noise, and highly accurate color reproduction.

The advanced BIONZ XR processing engine delivers up to eight times more processing power than its predecessor. It minimizes processing latency while boosting movie and still image processing power, achieving natural gradations, realistic color, low noise, superior image quality and fast menu response.

Active Mode provides enhanced image stabilization for handheld shooting. A precision image stabilisation unit, advanced gyro sensors, and an optimized image stabilisation algorithm work together for exceedingly smooth, stable movie footage. In addition to in-body stabilization, compatible lenses with their own built-in image stabilization coordinate with the camera body for highly effective control, enabling handheld telephoto shots with greater clarity.
