SONY Camcorder Firmware Update Enables 4K RAW Output and More

The Sony PXW-FS7K 4K XDCAM is a full-frame Super 35mm size sensor professional 4k camcorder, and is being sold in a kit with the 28-135mm f/4G E-mount OSS zoom lens. Designed for 4k single-camera video production, this Sony digital movie camera is especially well suited for shooting documentary, news, and commercial video. The Sony 28-135mm power zoom is designed to cover the full-frame sensor and 4K resolution; it mounts directly to the camera without an adapter, and has separate geared focus, zoom and iris rings.

What you should know about this camera:
• Supports many lenses: In addition to native E-mount, the camera accepts Sony A-mount, Canon EF and PL and Leica lenses with an adapter.
• Fast AF: Focus is attained using phase detection and works in almost any lighting conditions.
• Powerful sensor: The camera has a 4K Super 35mm Exmor sensor with 12 million pixel resolution. The sensor captures outstanding 10-bit 4:2:2 images at 50Mbps with superior grayscale rendition.
