I managed to get a tether while the price was reduced and am very pleased with it as a security device for my camera. These days, cameras are too expensive to risk being dropped and this is the perfect solution either with or without the Spider Holster system

The tether provides security for the camera and is light enough so that it is not burdensome like a regular camera strap around the neck. No problem with using both the tether and my Spider hand strap.

Use it when I have large lens on my camera and am shooting from high places above people. At San Diego Zoo there is a very tall bridge and a camera would be deadly if I accidentally dropped it on people below. I attach it to my camera plate.

In the past I've almost missed sliding my camera with long lens into my Spyder. This tether will avert disaster if I ever miss. Peace of mind is priceless.

The tether is an invaluable piece when combined with a Spider Holster. The tether is not intended to be a stand alone camera strap. It is merely a security plan when using a Spider Holster. Since I have purchased the tether I no longer am worried that I miss the clip of the Spider Holster when I am putting the camera away. The strap is thin and I barely feel it when I am shooting. The strap is amply long and does not get in the way. Minor Drawback The one drawback is that it can be difficult to unclip the tether from the camera. The clip is small and strong. When I say it can be difficult, it still only takes less than a minute to unclip. I would rather have a stiff spring in the clip and it hold securely than for it come off when I wasn't intending it to, though.

useful but needs a better way to adjust the length. The is long and the buckle used to fix the length does not secure the strap sufficiently and so the strap tends to lengthen when in use.

I bought this for peace of mind, because even though the SpiderLight holster is very secure, I don't trust myself when unclipping my camera to shoot. Now I can think about my work, not my gear.The SpiderWeb strap performs beautifully for what it is: an emergency tether you hope you never need to use. It is thin, lightweight, and unobtrusive. The slide stays securely in place and doesn't creep. It's long enough to wear across the chest, and the clip on the end that attaches to the camera has a locking bail for security.What it is not, however, is a neck strap. There is no padding whatsoever. As long as it's not weight-bearing this isn't an issue but if you use it as a neck strap, be prepared for chafing and neck pain. It might be OK for freeing up your hands to perform some small task in the middle of shooting, or for when the time between shots is too short to re-holster and too long to just hold onto your camera, but as a full-time strap? No. But then, it never claimed to be.
