Keep an eye out
Keep an eye on these consistently. As you hike and your binocs rub back and forth to some degree the entire things tends to fall off unknowingly. The more use, the looser they fit and increased chances they can come complete off during a hike . I don’t know that there is any other choice out there.

($) for a ($) piece of rubber
Ah, Swarovski, makers of fine optics and accessories. My wife and I are the proud owners of two pair of EL binos. Probably the best in it's class ever. The build is quality through and through except for the objective lens caps. Here again I am purchasing a rubber part that will break apart at the same stress point after a few weeks or months of field usage. I gave my caps to my wife, bought a spare, which broke again, and ended up buying another pair recently. I've spent ($) plus S&H for a cheap piece of rubber/vinyl. Never again!
