This does have some vignetting with the full frame Canon 5d. It was under $100, and works just as good as a lens 3 times that much. It COULD be used for studio photography (as I have) but higher quality glass would be better suited.

Just okay; does okay when used for wide angled landscapes or portraits, but nothing spectacular. Not quite as sharp as I'd hoped, but not terrible either. Decent for the price.

This is a good lense. Works well in low light conditions, and it has a perty fast auto focus. I use it more than the one that came with my camera.

A very good all-purpose lens, compact and lightweight for all occasions.Not perfect like the big brother XR 2,8 but exceptional pricexquality product. Reccomended to all who want nice pictures and scans without spending a fortune!

For the money, you absolutely cannot beat this lens! A few WB tweaks and the colors are great out of the camera. It is sharp, focuses decently in low light (with flash). I own a Canon 24-70 L and am amazed at the image quality coming from this lens. Because of its feather light weight I opt to use this lens for portraits sometimes.

I am a hobbyist who's been using this lens as my general purpose lens for about six months. For performance, I would compare this lens to the 18-55mm that originally came with my camera where the ranges over-lap (though the additional 25mm zoom is outstanding.) Image quality is generally very good to excellent for my purposes (I have not performed lens benchmarks.) and would certainly suggest this lens to friends who were looking for a good, general purpose lens. And coming with a six-year manufacturer warranty, shows the confidence of performance and workmanship.
