Excellent sync. When using Blackmagic 6k Pro, I recommend putting the timecode on an audio track, and have Resolve pull from that. The Timecode metadata always seems a couple frames off.

This is spot on accurate, and it works great paired with my Z Cam E2 S6 (using the Z Cam time code adapter) and my ZOOM F6! I can now capture video/audio and feel confident that the files will easily sync up in DaVinci resolve. Or any other editor for that matter. The Tentacle Sync E is a game changer that makes for a happy workflow!

Precise timecode generator jams a Zoom F6 that can then be disconnected from the Tentacle that consequently connects to the DSLR via 3.5mm trs audio input in perfect sync wirelessly. Bluetooth allows monitoring timecode on phone app. As of this writing, Adorama was the only vendor with inventory. Alas, the cold shoe bracket at additional cost seems essential.

Amazingly simple to use. The first setup for four devices took less than 5 minutes and then we were shooting with 3 cameras and 1 audio being fed timecode. Brought all the clips into DaVinci Resolve and with 2 clicks everything was on a synced timeline.

The Tentacle Sync E is the best timecode generator. But Adorama had it in-stock, when no one else did. Plus, it was delivered on time which is shocking in a market where 1 week late is expected

These are a game changer! I sync up the SYNC Es with my TRACK E (audio recorder) before doing my pov street photography shoot and can record with both my INSTA 360 ONE R, my EOS R5, and my audio without the headache of post editing.(syncing audio and video in post) Now it is very important to note that SYNC E inserts timecode INTO devices and does not record audio itself. You can however insert timecode into an audio recorder with multiple channels for easy audio to video sync. Or just use the TRACK E which has BUILT in time code and is also itself a audio recorder with 32 float (raw format for audio)

This product is amazing! I wish I knew about it sooner. It handles mixed frame rates with no issue. It's incredibly easy to use. The apps are to the point and its simplicity makes it a breeze to operate. They're portable, lightweight, and I love the color bands to differentiate them. You can change the name of each unit via Bluetooth which helps identify them. This works with audio-only files as well as videos which helps a lot to sync my audio recorder with video clips. The battery lasts an incredibly long time. The only two criticisms I have is for there to be a cold shoe mount and a mic/line in. If you want to use this in conjunction with another audio source, you'll have to get an L/R splitter. Other than that, I LOVE this thing and plan to get more when I can. One bonus feature I discovered is that in my audio recorder, if I have it recording to one of the tracks, the software will recognize the other tracks recorded were at the same time from the device and will insert timecode into them, even though they are not the track that had timecode inserted. For example, on my Zoom H6, I input Tentacle Sync to track 3. When I used the software to export the audio files with timecode inside, it added timecode to tracks LR, 1, 2, and 4 as well. Pretty awesome!

Worked great right out of the box, but turns out Tricaster strips timecode out when you export ProRes files for use in Davinci Resolve.

I bought these Tentacle devices to sync three video cameras and an external audio recorder. Setup was a cinch using the Android app and charging is easy via the USB-C connection. Battery life is more than sufficient for a day long shoot. Conforming the time code and video on a PC using the Timecode Tool again was pretty straight forward. IMport into Premiere and sync to timecode! Done in less time and more accurately than Red Giant Pluraleyes 4 did!

Fantastic. Had these for years. Work flawlessly with everything from recorders to cameras, from Zoom, SD, BMD, Red to Arri, et al. Just get the right cables. Battery life is amazing and they charge fast (you could forget to charge, and put on either a battery bank or wall charger and they will charge probably before you've finished your morning poo).

A handy, flexible device that works exactly as advertised. They worked great on the first shoot after I bought them and they’ll continue to work great in the future I’m sure! Easy interface and instructions, and amazingly long daily battery life before a recharge is needed. Highly recommended.

PROS: Simple & effective. App works well. Batteries have held up for all day shoots. Small unit saves space on camera rig. CON : I can’t get scratch audio from the built in microphone. I spoke w tech support. Apparently it only works with power from typical DSLR 3.5mm inputs. Cameras like C200 will only receive L channel audio TC + nothing in R channel.

These are incredible little Timecode boxes that will keep your devices in sync and ready for post. The battery last a long time and they come with very helpful bluetooth iphone/android features for setting up devices. Easy to setup and use. I highly recommend them. Great value.
