Used Teradek Teradek Cube 250/350 1Ch HDMI HD-SDI Encoder/Decoder with Dual-Band Wi-Fi & USB

The Teradek Cube 250/350 1-Channel HDMI HD-SDI Encoder/Decoder with Dual-Band Wi-Fi and USB is a small, very lightweight, camera-mount video streaming solution that sends and receives HD or SD video over dual-band Wi-Fi. The Cube-250 Encoder has HDMI input and built-in dual-band Wi-Fi at 2.4 and 5.8 GHz improving range and video quality in congestion environments. It also has an external USB port for streaming over Wi-Fi at fixed locations and using a 4G Verizon LTE USB modem (U.S. only) to stream on-the-go. And it also features adjustable mic level input with optional AGC and compression. The Cube-350 Decoder has HD-SDI output as well featuring 2.4 and 5.8 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi, an external USB port and an adjustable mic level input. The line-of-sight Wi-Fi range of each Cube is approximately 300 feet when used with a high quality Wi-Fi access point.

The 250 streams over Wi-Fi directly to the 350 or without requiring any additional networking equipment, it can create its own wireless network and stream to the 350. (It can also stream to a computer, a server, or a mobile device.) Additionally, to extend its broadcast range, the 250 can join an infrastructure network via a wireless router and it can then stream over a LAN or WAN.

The 250 uses advanced H.264 high profile (Level 4.1) video compression and have a built-in scaler that converts from 1080 to 720 and 480 resolutions. Resolution and bit rate can be chosen based on the availability of IP bandwidth. The 350 is compatible with the H.264 compression and the combo offers end-to-end latency of approximately 1/8-1/2 second.

Each Cube is about the size of a deck of cards, weighs 7 oz and mounts easily to a rail system, cage, hotshoe, or camera baseplate. Each uses only 2.5 W - 3.8 W of DC power. The Cubes have been tested extensively and successfully with RED ONE, Arri Alexa, Panavision Genesis, Canon 5Dii and 7D and various handycams. (Cube is not compatible with RED ONE's HDMI output as its output is non-standard. Cube does work with RED ONE's HD-SDI.)
