After an exhausting look at floorstanders I decided to take a look at the Bro9's from Triangle. They came out of the box looking very nice. Great finish and workmanship were immediately apparent. After listening for a couple of hours I could not get the smile off my face. I just love these things. Good, adequate bass for the size of the woofers. Killer midrange from the white midrange and tweeter. The highs are airy and crispy but never fatiguing. Voices are extremely clear and cut through the mix nicely. Soundstage is gigantic and fills my entire room. It took me 5 minutes to attach the bottom plates and spikes. My little 45w Marantz drives the Bro9's to insane volumes too so you don't need an arc welder to make these sing. Imaging and instrument separation is awesome too. The tweets were a little bright at first but after 20 hours or so on the clock they settled in nicely. Still working on the break in and I will know more later. These have to be one of the best deals out there.

These are excellent speakers which could easily fall into the category of more expensive ones. They sound big and clear. I called Adorama to enquire about some other brand and the phone was picked by Lewis. When I explained what speakers I currently have and what I'm looking for Lewis immediately recommended me Borea BR09. I spent a few days researching about them and then went back to Lewis and ordered the same. I'm so glad to do it because they're a very good value for money and Thanks to Lewis for recommending and helping with placing the order. Shipment was on time.

Absolutely outstanding speakers for music I haven't tried them for home theater just music and every time I listen I'm impressed not what someone who insist on bass heavy listening would appreciate with someone who wants a speaker that delivers a flat response that is more in tune with what was actually recorded on the mastered record, disc, or CD. I guess I mostly listen to what would be called Golden oldies now. 50s, 60s, 70s, early '80s rock and roll, rock, classic rock. It's all reproduced with such accuracy I'm able to hear things I never heard before in the recordings. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to listen to music just as it was recorded and mastered. And they look nice too. The magnetic grills are wonderful addition to any speaker. And yes Triangle recommends listening without the grills and there is a discernible difference in the sound. I was fortunate enough to find these on sale a couple of months back at 50% off and the oak color that I wanted. Almost killed myself in a rush to order them. They came and wonderful condition the packaging with such that everything came in perfect even though one box had a hole in it and it wasn't easy to put that hole in because that box was extremely thick. I had Polk RT2000s that I used for my home theater and my stereo listening for many years they were good but just okay for music. Before that I had a pair of Boston Acoustic A200s with the oak veneer that I loved. The only reason I had to give them up was the rubber speaker surrounds we're starting to dry rot and at the time there was nothing that could be done except replace the speaker in Boston Acoustics did not have any. Now there are kits to replace those rubber surrounds. But it seems that the fond memories of those speakers are being replaced by the new memories of these Triangle BR09s.

I had almost settled for BR08, when I found these on sale, and thought I would give them a try. Even if I had paid 100% full price I still would feel like I had stolen them. They are worth every penny lots of detail in the highs and mids and even the lows are worthy of praise. The Sound Stage is there, it's detailed it may not be the sound said you here with a pair of $20,000 speakers, but it sure sounds like it's coming from something much more expensive than what these speakers are selling for. They look good sound good, I am hoping they last for a long time. Take a chance I think you'll find yourself very pleased that you did. They are large enough to be effective, without being obtrusive. They sound so much better than what you're paying for even if you pay full price. I absolutely love them.

Been eyeing these for a while, so when they went on sale it what a no brained for me. Look good, sound even better. The amp I have them connected to right now is old and under powered and they still sound rich and full. Can?t wait to get a decent amp hooked up to really hear the potential.

When seeking an unparalleled auditory experience, the Borea BR09 Floorstanding Speaker emerges as the pinnacle of acoustic engineering, embodying the essence of high-fidelity sound. Standing at an impressive 1.1 meters, the BR09 is a testament to TRIANGLE's dedication to sonic excellence, incorporating advanced technology and expertise into its sleek Black Ash design.
The speaker's three-way configuration is meticulously crafted to cover the entire frequency spectrum with precision. Each transducer is dedicated to a specific range, ensuring crisp, clear vocal reproduction, profound depth in low frequencies, and a broad soundstage that immerses listeners in a true-to-life audio environment.
At the heart of the BR09's low-frequency prowess are three 16cm bass drivers, harmoniously working within a spacious bass-reflex enclosure. This design choice allows the speaker to delve deep into the sonic realm, reaching down to 35Hz, and delivering a powerful, room-filling bass that is perfectly suited for expansive spaces over 30 sq. m.
The Borea BR09 benefits from TRIANGLE's innovative BOREA Technologies, drawing from the acclaimed Esprit Ez range to ensure uncompromising sound reproduction. The EFS Tweeter, a hallmark of the Borea series, features a 25mm silk dome paired with a phase plug, meticulously engineered to homogenize high-frequency diffusion. This cutting-edge system minimizes directivity, offering a consistent listening experience throughout the room. The partial horn loading of the dome reduces reflections, enabling a pristine delivery of high frequencies.
Midrange clarity is paramount in the BR09, with a driver boasting a 100% natural cellulose paper membrane, free from any surface treatment. This unique TRIANGLE design eliminates coloration in the intermediate frequencies, capturing the nuances of the human voice with astonishing realism and tonality. The cone's profile has been refined for increased rigidity, extending the frequency response and ensuring natural vocal reproduction.
TRIANGLE's commitment to dynamic, rich, and precise low frequencies is evident in the BR09's design. The engineers have focused on creating drivers that are both fast and accurate, with large engines housed in optimized cabinets. The use of fiberglass membranes contributes to the speaker's ability to deliver impactful sound while maintaining space for the vocal range, resulting in an airy and balanced audio presentation.
The DVAS System is a groundbreaking innovation that significantly reduces internal cabinet vibrations. The Borea BR09 features perforated internal panels made of MDF & EVA foam, which not only stiffen the transducer/cabinet combination but also absorb vibrations from the bass drivers. This proprietary system ensures a listening experience characterized by neutrality and clarity, free from coloration or structural noise.
Decoupling is another critical aspect of the BR09's design. The floorstanding speakers include a pedestal for enhanced stability, with inserts for decoupling spikes and rubber pads provided for various flooring types. This thoughtful addition minimizes unwanted vibrations and ensures optimal performance.
Completing the aesthetic and functional excellence of the Borea BR09 is the magnetic grill, which attaches seamlessly without visible inserts or screws. For those seeking the purest sound, removing the grills during listening sessions is recommended, as they can influence the audio output.
In summary, the Borea BR09 Floorstanding Speaker is a triumph of audio design, offering an immersive, high-fidelity listening experience that caters to the discerning audiophile. With its sophisticated technology, elegant Black Ash finish, and unwavering attention to detail, the BR09 stands as a flagship model, ready to elevate any home audio system to new heights of acoustic performance.
