Just launched by Ubiquiti Networks, the NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 is the newest generation of airMAX CPE (Customer Premises Equipment), designed to deliver superior performance and improved noise immunity. This innovative device combines the radio and antenna into a compact, efficient design, offering maximum gain from the smallest footprint.

The NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 operates on the 5GHz frequency band, directing RF energy in a tighter beamwidth. This focused directionality not only maximizes noise immunity but also effectively blocks or spatially filters out interference, making it particularly useful in areas crowded with similar frequency RF signals.

This device is powered by the airMAX ac processor and comes with the revolutionary airOS 8 software. This advanced operating system provides a range of powerful wireless features, including Access Point PtMP airMAX Mixed Mode, airMAX ac Protocol Support, and Long-Range Point-to-Point (PtP) Link Mode. It also offers selectable channel width, automatic channel selection, transmit power control, and the strongest WPA2 security.

The NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 also features advanced RF analytics, thanks to its multi-radio architecture. An independent processor powers a dedicated radio that persistently analyzes the full 5GHz spectrum, providing the most advanced RF analytics in the industry.

The device also integrates a separate Wi-Fi radio for quick and easy setup using your mobile device via the UNMS app, available on both iOS and Android platforms. This app provides instant access to the airOS configuration interface and offers various configuration options once connected.

Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti's Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots, eliminating hidden node collisions and maximizing airtime efficiency. This results in significant performance improvements in latency, noise immunity, scalability, and throughput.

The NanoBeam 5AC Gen 2 also features airMAX ac technology, which supports high data rates and dense modulation, providing up to 450+ Mbps real TCP/IP throughput. This is a significant increase from the throughput of standard airMAX products.

The device is also designed for easy installation and versatile mounting, with a pivotable ball joint 3-axis mount for easy aiming.
