I wanted a hyper-wide full frame lens for my Sony a7Riii and this lens has a lot going for it. The zoom range of 10-18 is a nice complement to my 16-35. The fact it can use 37mm rear filters is a plus, as is the ability to use an adaptor for the Haida M-10 filter system. It’s unfortunate it does not transmit EXIF data, but I knew going in that it did not. Ultimately, however, it’s image quality that counts and that’s where this lens fails. On the plus side, it’s very sharp in the center. But it falls off significantly as you get close to the edges and the corners are pure mush at all focal lengths. I ended up going with the Voigtlander 10mm f/5.6. It’s smaller, lighter, communicates EXIF data and, most importantly, much sharper across the entire frame.

Seems good so far, gonna put it through a real world trial this weekend, the tests i did at home i got some reasonably sharp results expect the corners but that should be obvious they arnt going to be great at 10mm but over i love the size and feel

This lens is currently the widest zoom lens available for Sony full frame E-mount cameras. Designed primarily for travel photography, we have managed to compress the size to the smallest in its class, less than 9.1 cm long and only 496g (1.1lb). The 102 Degree (18mm) to 130 Degree (10mm) angle of view provides flexibility for photographers to compose landscape or architecture photos with ease. The aperture system is carefully re-designed to produce the best sun-star renderings among all UWA lenses in the market.
