Image quality in terms of resolution, subtlety of color and micro-contrast is outstanding even wide open, edge to edge, corner to corner. Manual focusing is smooth and natural. Achieving accurate focus is relatively quick thanks to the automatic activation of focus magnification whenever the focus ring is moved. The electronic connection with the body allows all the important information to be stored in EXIF, which allows the body to optimize in-body image stabilization and image adjustments, and Lightroom to automatically use and display this information. Achieving excellent images takes a little practice but it quickly becomes a great experience and the results are amazing.

The best 35mm lens of all time
Our masterpiece from the APO Lanthar series offers the highest resolution and best color correction of all Voigtland wide-angle lenses and can be described as our most powerful 35mm lens of all time. It will be launched in a version with a Leica M connection as well as a Sony E-mount.
The optical construction consists of 9 groups with 11 lens elements, two of which are double-sided aspherical elements, five with abnormal partial dispersion and floating elements for optimal focusing performance.
An excellent multiple coating and the apochromatic color correction round off the technically complex structure. The 12 aperture blades form a round opening at F2.0, F2.8, F5.6 and F16, which enables a circular and also very balanced bokeh from a point light source.
The objective was a brilliant and in all facets extraordinary imaging performance and this could be achieved without compromise!
The lens supports the transfer of EXIF data, the focus magnifier, automatic lens correction and 5-axis image stabilization (if available). The selective aperture system optionally enables silent aperture setting in video mode.
In the field of wide-angle focal lengths, the Voigtlander 35mm / 1: 2.0 APO-Lanthar aspherical sets a new standard in our range and offers a variety of photographic possibilities for the discerning user. The extraordinary panel construction also allows a high degree of creative freedom and promises a very individual look.
The E-mount version includes a standard lens hood.
