This is quite an improvement to my TV sound system. Sounds nice. The remote control and phone app work well. It was easy to set up. I selected the SR-C30A because I needed a compact sound bar in width and depth for the tight location of my TV. The price was also reasonable for the quality for the system.

Hard to beat this quality of sound and bass for this price point! I had initially tried a single sound bar with bass built in but was really disappointed with both bass and voice clarity. The standalone woofer in this model really helps to boost the bass and the sound quality of the bar is much better tailored to highs. #sweepstakes

The sound is much better than my previous soundbar which died. Now and then the sound changes for no reason. I must turn off the TV and turn it back on. The sound corrects itself. My TV is an LG that is about 3 years old so who knows what causes the change. It's connected with an optical cable, not HMDI. The cable is the same age as the TV. It's not a problem really, but it would be nice to know where the kink in the system lies.

This is one of the best known brands when it comes to sound and quality. After unboxing the item it was quick and easy setup with a punch of power and sound. Deep music and clear toned vocals for movies. It had perfect amounts of bass without distorting the quality. It fit compactly on my tv stand and blended flawlessly with my decor. Easy to tuck the subwoofer with multiple ways to lay the device. It's replaced my sound bar that's twice the cost of this Yamaha unit. Switching connections was easy, going from HDMI to Bluetooth it lost no quality. Easy to adjust to my liking with the app Yamaha app it connects giving me full control and visually seeing what I'm doing and changing on the device. It has decent clarity even when turned up to higher volumes.

I am very satisfied by the quality of the Yamaha speakers. From watching your favorite movies to jamming out to your favorite playlists. This speaker and subwoofer gets the job done. If you are looking for a set of speakers for a home theater, I would highly recommend these Yamaha speakers.

The Yamaha SR-C30A, has amazing sound quality for the size of the speaker! It may be small but it packs a big punch especially with the Wireless Subwoofer. Set up was easy, and the instructions were very informative. I love the "3D Movie" mode when i'm enjoying a movie, it makes it sound like your in the movie. The "Stereo" and "BASS EXT" mode are great for listening for music. I am very satisfied with the product and the overall quality is better at the price range then other competitors I have used. I would definitely purchase this product for the amount of quality and sound definition, and it's small size for easy use anywhere. This speaker is versatile for all types of applications, such as a gaming speaker, music, or a home theater. I would recommend this to my friends and family!

I was very happy to get a chance to try the Yamaha SR-C30A Compact Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer for free from BzzAgent. I had always found the sound from my tv lacking overall and I had been in the market for a soundbar, but none really stood out to me. I had heard of the Yamaha brand and knew it was good, because that's the soundbar we used at the restaurant, and it definitely filled the dining area, so I had high expectations for this one. It came well packaged and was very easy to install, I'd never set up a sound system before, but took no longer than probably 20 minutes from opening to plugging in and setting up. The sound is overall really nice with just the soundbar, but is definitely elevated with the subwoofer, and it doesn't take up too much space. There's a rich sort of sound to it, very nice, even bass, and it's definitely loud enough to fill up a living room. It comes with different sound profile option buttons on the control, but to be honest, I didn't hear too much difference, aside from the Clear Voice option. As with most immersive sound stuff, the voices might sometimes be a little muffled, but just slightly, when watching a show or movie and I found that the sound quality differed strongly depending on the show or movie's original audio, say stereo, Dolby Atmos, etc, which makes sense. With music however, the sound is a little more clear and bass is amazing, and so easy to connect since it's got bluetooth. Overall, a great little soundbar and subwoofer, definitely worth its original price. The only bad thing is, now I can't go back to watching my tv with just the original sound, listening with this soundbar has definitely spoiled me!

As part of getting the Yamaha SR-C30A Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer, I also took the opportunity to also upgrade the TV at my parents house. Before they had a small 40 inch screen without any other sound system besides the built in speakers. It worked, but the audio didn't have much depth or clarity to it. I have upgraded them to a larger 55 inch 4k TV and paired it with the Yamaha SR-C30A soundbar to help get a better TV watching experience. The TV upgrade made a difference where you could easily see content from across the room; however, the big difference was adding the sound bar. There is a huge difference from the built in speakers on a TV and using an external sound device. Speech is extremely clear and isn't muffled, music had more depth as there is a higher range of frequencies that is available with the help of the wireless subwoofer. Having the sound bar connected via HDMI using the ARC (Audio Return Channel) port, I was able to eliminate the need for two remotes. The TV remote is able to pass commands to the sound bar for adjusting the volume and to power it on and off without any issue and makes the entire setup seem seamless. The sound bar does include a bluetooth receiver to allow you to play music from your phone; however, I haven't been successful with getting it to pair with my Google Pixel 4a 5G at this time. In the meantime I've just been using the Chromecast that is connected to the TV to enjoy music until I have a chance to test out the bluetooth functions with another device. Overall, if you are looking to get better quality audio from your TV watching experience, I would recommend at least adding a sound bar to help improve the quality and depth of audio. You're not gonna have the same movie theater experience as you don't have the surround channels; however, it's a major upgrade from the built in speakers on the TV itself.

I received this Yamaha product a few weeks ago as a free test product from Bzzagent. I was able to set it up in about 10 minutes, it was a breeze! I tried it out on a movie first, then I had to play some MTM DonDon videos through it. Can I say "WOW" it sounded amazing!! Awesome sound! I am super excited to hear more through this system.

I am in awe at the quality of sound that comes out of such a small Soundbar! The subwoofer provides the bass only necessary and at the perfect moments. Both were extremely simple to set up, and the remote is user friendly. I have a Vizio soundbar in another room, and I can never figure out which mode it is on. This Soundbar also allows for mounting on a wall...mines is right underneath the TV, but I may consider moving it soon. Bluetooth connectivity allows me to easily connect music without turning on the tv. I would highly recommend this product.

Straight out of the box this soundbar and sub were easy to install and set up. The included optical cable worked fine but using your own hdmi is optional. The soundbar was easily mounted to our wooden mantle, however we did need our own hardware (2 screws) for that, and the sub fit nicely and out of sight under our side table. The included remote works well within close range to the soundbar, however there is no visual on-screen representation of volume or showing that the remote even worked. The yamaha soundbar app is the way to go as far as I'm concerned. The app makes it possible to not only see what volume you're at, but also adjust it for the soundbar and sub, as well as different EQ presets including game mode, stereo mode, standard, and 3D movie. You can also connect your phone and play music through the app via Bluetooth as well. There is a huge improvement to depth and sound quality over just a tv speaker. The clarity and bass make for a much better gaming and movie experience. I would definitely reccomend this set up to friends and family.

This entire soundbar and sub system is amazing. It arrived well packaged and was very easy to setup. I have a soundbar already this one just sounds so much fuller, especially with the added wireless subwoofer. Adjusting the eq of the soundbar is simple and can really be setup for just about any living room or theater. Highly recommended as an all in one package.

So I really want to give this sound bar and subwoofer 5 stars because the sound on it is excellent. However it took several hours to hook up because the instructions, the ones necessary to actually get it connected to both the tv and itself were NOT included in the packaging. My husband had to go look up the model and download/print instructions from a website to actually get it working. Once it was working it was amazing. The subwoofer ads SO much depth to the sound in our TV room and the soundbar has so much better sound than the TV speakers. Note:Obnce we downloaded the instructions from online the install was a breeze but that is definitely something the buyer should beware of. It was just a hassle. Though I find it annoying when I have to look up instructions I do appreciate a company who tells me that upfront. Overall it's a great sound system but if you don't want to download instructions you might want to look elsewhere. Your choice. For me it's worth it however it should be written somewhere on the box or in the minimal instructions included in the box.

I got this and I have to tell you that this thing is a beast of a Soundbar. I know that with the Subwoofer, and the Bass Extend, it is marvelous for watching Marvel movies with the family. This soundbar is all about sound quality! When comparing this unit to a Samsung soundbar I already own the detail present is exponentially better. This soundbar also features a compact wireless subwoofer. The subwoofer definitely packs a punch and I often find myself turning down the volume for the bass. When experimenting with the various sound modes I found that standard mode and game mode were definitely the best. Using standard mode was great for music and dialogue for movies. Vocals are very clear and background nuances are amplified and brought forward in the soundstage creating a very detailed sound. The 3D Movie setting seemed to create sort of an echo effect that I did not care for. Plain stereo mode did produce clean and clear sound but the sound to me was thin and was lacking in dynamics that standard mode made up for. The game setting was magical when playing games, somehow it does create a more surrounding immersive effect that is highly enjoyable. My biggest con with this sound bar is no front display to tell you which setting you are adjusting. Values are translated by flashing of leds in a row pattern. This soundbar is all around a great buy for anyone who needs to save on space. This is a perfect unit for a game room or computer desk but has the impressive bass and detailed sound for a living room setup, highly recommend!!

Using this after having an LG 3.1 soundbar & subwoofer for a few years, I almost instantly heard the difference in terms of sound quality. This soundbar has a better surround sound feel without the super technical sound adjustments needed. I like the simplicity of the three preset sound settings and the bass from the subwoofer is like icing on the cake. The only reason why I'm giving this soundbar 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are no included instructions on how to pair the subwoofer to the soundbar. For me, it wouldn't connect automatically and I had to look up pairing instructions from another Yamaha model and hope for the best.

This came yesterday, and only took me about 15 minutes to hook up. I am not hugely tech savvy, but this was so easy. We tried it on a move, the sound was crazy good. Then tried it with Dark Side of the Moon. Well. It was so good! I am really excited to continue to use this product.
