I haven’t had the opportunity to use the lens yet. I can only review the look and feel of it. The lens is beautiful and elegant. Is small for a tele. It feels well made an solid. The only thing is the lens cap, is so cheap! It snaps off. Such a wonderful piece of glass deserves better.

Zeiss T* Anti-Reflective Coating
A more compact alternative to the 85mm f/2 Sonar T* is this Zeiss 85mm f/4 Tele-Tessar T* ZM Lens. It is a traveler's dream lens; compressed in size but not in quality. This lens is an excellent choice for taking portraits, capturing details and reportage. The Carl Zeiss range of T* ZM-mount lenses offers high standards in terms of performance, reliability and, of course, image quality.
You can count on highly advanced flare control for crisp and brilliant images. Virtually zero geometric distortion ensures precise accuracy when reproducing shapes, especially useful when photographing products and architecture.
