I installed 6 of these speakers for background/ambience music as an upgrade to a 22 year old system with smaller speakers. I am very happy with the results as the speakers are more detailed and sound very good. The speakers are heavy, of excellent build quality, and easy to install. The pair that is in a 12x24 room, with a normal ceiling height, sound great with adequate bass and great detail. Those are also closer to the source which helps. The kitchen pair is still very good although perhaps due to the open space and being further away from the source it sounds a little less impressive than the first room but still very good. The 3rd pair is on a very high ceiling filling the foyer and a very large living room and they sound good but obviously the detail and bass are lost in the big space. Installing a double layer of insulation behind the speakers helped make the bass a little tighter/more controlled compared to the one speaker where I could not (perhaps it is my imagination but I do hear a slight difference). They are driven by a 160 watt Emotiva power amp along with another pair of Yamaha in wall speakers.

The sound is great, better than my tower speakers and now I get rid of the cables all over my floor, wish I would have done this years ago.
