Review Summary

When I tested the setup before using the housing, the lens hit the lens port some of the time, but not every time. I limited the use of the zoom to avoid this problem once in the water. I handed the camera to my wife and she did not know about the limit. When she zoomed all the way out the lens hit. The instructions say to to press the on off button to restart if this happens. This did not fix the problem. I had to return to the boat and remove the camera from the case to reset the camera. This is the only underwater case I have used that had this problem, and if I had known of the problem before purchase I would not have spent $ on this case.

I have no point of comparison, as this is the first camera housing I've bought. I've used it on two dives so far (70' and 30') and the photos I took were flawless. The Ikelite was incredibly easy to use and the seals felt great, so I wasn't worried about my camera.

How can you capture stunning underwater images with your Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, or 5DS R DSLR camera The answer lies in the 200DL 200' Underwater Housing with Dry Lock Port Mount. This high-quality, durable housing is designed to protect your camera under extreme underwater conditions, rated to a depth of 200' (60m).
The innovative Dry Lock (DL) port system provides added security at the water's surface and accommodates large diameter lenses. This housing features an extra-large, soft-touch zoom knob, making it easy to adjust your zoom even in challenging underwater environments. The unique universal zoom gear system ensures that zoom is accessible for many lenses.
The 200DL housing includes a vacuum valve (pump sold separately) and an Ikelite ICS-5 bulkhead connector with a manual hotshoe for reliable electrical triggering of underwater strobes. For photographers seeking automatic exposure with compatible Ikelite DS strobes, optional TTL circuitry can be added.
This underwater housing is supremely functional, providing access to all important camera functions. The control symbols are laser-etched into the back, ensuring they will never fade or rub off. The quick-install camera mount plate allows for easy battery or memory card access without needing to remove the camera from the housing.
Constructed from corrosion-resistant ABS-PC and Lexan, this housing is not only reliable but also stylish. It features a balanced aluminum base with a left-hand quick-release handle (right-hand handle sold separately). The signature open-groove design suspends the rear O-ring in a natural position, making it easier to maintain and more reliable than traditional designs.
This underwater housing is made in the USA and individually inspected for fit and water pressure tested to depth. It offers near-neutral buoyancy in fresh water, although actual buoyancy may vary depending on the choice of lens and port.
Please note that this housing is only compatible with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, and 5DS R DSLR cameras as shipped by the manufacturer. It does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
For strobe options, this housing supports manual exposure modes with SEA&SEA, INON, and Nikonos strobes with an electrical connection. Ikelite DS-model strobes may be used without the Canon TTL Kit installed, but will not provide TTL exposure. Strobes with remote slave capabilities may be triggered off of a flash attached to the housing by electrical sync cord.
Capture the underwater world in all its beauty with the 200DL 200' Underwater Housing with Dry Lock Port Mount for Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, and 5DS R Cameras.
