I got this product because it seemed to fit a specific need: a 2.5 or 3.5 mm TRS to an Nikon 8 pin jack, as a longer cable for a battery grip or a short cable for a remote release. The picture shows a Nikon 8 pin connector (used on the D3000/D5000 series), and that would match the MC-DC2 it mentions, as that release uses the 8 pin connector. However, when I got it into my hands, it has an 11 pin connector, used by the D3/D4 and similar. Although I'm sure someone could come up with a use for it, it's not at all as shown or advertised, either here or at the manufacturer's website.
