I am one of the organizers of the AtlantaPHP user group. We purchased the APS-25 product to make speaker presentations better. Our venue is excellent except for the fact that a speaking voice will not carry well to the far side of the room. We wanted a wireless PA system that was easy to set up, simple to control, and with good sound quality. Bottom line is we were looking for some way to make presenters loud and clear. The APS-25 works great, meets all our needs, and looks sharp (my research located some truly hideous looking portable wireless PA systems). We also went with two built-in VHF clip-on microphones so two people can present at the same time. After our first use of the APS-25, I had a couple people ask me where the second speaker was because they thought the sound couldn't be coming from just one speaker! The only down side for us was that we wanted to mount the PA speaker on a stand since we do not own our venue, and cannot permanently mount our speaker on the wall with the wall-mount bracket that comes with the APS-25. The brass threads molded into the speaker case are for attaching to a *microphone* stand which we do not feel would be stable enough for our environment where it might get bumped. We wanted to mount the APS-25 on a tripod *speaker* stand. I got around this problem by purchasing an "external speaker stand adapter" for nine bucks which I bolted to a one foot length of 3/4" pine, and screwed the APS-25 wall mount bracket to the wood. Voila, our APS-25 speaker can now be mounted (horizontally) on pretty much any tripod speaker stand. We are really happy with our purchase.
