Although I ended up not keeping this card, I originally bought it for my new 3D video editing machine for a home-based business. It is a great card for the money, even though I did not install it on my computer. I decided against it because it was not compatible for my system. I have mini-dv tapes of my father to up-convert, but I would rather use a hardware-based up conversion card (like AJA) than a software-based version like this one. Blackmagic has GREAT customer service support and they take their time with you. Very helpful I must say. They also have a great competitive product to the AJA with the up conversion being my only issue. Otherwise, if I need to hook up a single 3D camera with connectors that require broadcast viewing because it will handle the separate left right channel file formatted video shot with the upcoming Sony 3D professional camera. Also, when I can afford the $6,000 3D broadcast monitor, I will get this card again. In the meantime, I have no use for it right now because my HDSLR format is CF and file-based.
