1st time using RAID
First time using a RAID set up with new MacPro. No problems at all and love it so far. Running it in RAID 1 configurationa and see no performance issues when loading several hundred RAW photos shot for timelpase sequences.

I did a lot of research on getting a Raid 1 capable external HD for my Mac. This is the one you want! Pretty much plug and play if you just want an external HD. With very minimal setup, I changed it to Raid 1 so the two disks mirror each other (I'm paranoid about losing data!) It is a great size and fits snuggly behind my monitor. It was initially back ordered and the good people at Adorama kept be updated as to when they would be getting more and gave me other options. I choose to wait...
