Yes, it works with my Windows 7 Pro. It is USB 2.0... and there may now be USB 3.0 drives out there. Transfer rates are 10x as fast. Mine has been reliable and durable. Also, and I don't know much about these things... I'm not sure if it will handle DUAL LAYER reading or writing, which might be something else you might want to consider... I haven't shopped for one for a couple of years... seemed like this one cost me ~$50 or a little more back then. Best wishes. SuperdonutLINDSEY H : Yes.
