About Maxell 9 Bay Storage Tower with 9 SATA Trays
Maxell 9 Bay Storage Tower comes installed with 9 SATA Hard Drive tray. The Hard drive are installed into trays and can be easily added or removed, like a tape cartridge, from the system. A key lock inhibits unauthorized removal of any drive tray enclosure from the system for added security. The Storage Tower interfaces to computers via a built-in Hardware Port Multiplier (HPM) to form a large-capacity and high-performance external RAID system with redundancy to protect against data loss due to drive failure.
Once the HPM is configured, the entire RAID set can be attached to any eSATA or USB port of any system. The Storage Tower supports JBOD and standard RAID modes (0, 1, 3, 5 and 10) for data protection and redundancy. To ensure efficient cooling, the Storage Tower includes high capacity cooling fan(s) and two ventilated side panels. The side panels are easily removable to provide access for optional device configurations.
