VariZoom VZQRP Universal Camera Quick Release Plate Assembly

The VariZoom VZQRP Quick Release Plate Assembly is a two-plate assembly in which one universally attaches to any camera and the other to any tripod, camera support, or stabilizer. The two plates then attach to each other. The top plate attaches to the bottom of a camera by means of two included easy to handle screws. The top plate then slides into the bottom plate as into a hotshoe. On the side of the bottom plate is a red quick release button that when pressed allows the top plate past a locking mechanism and afterwards prevents it from sliding off. The top plate is 5 inches long. With a camera on it, it can be adjusted into a desired position along the bottom plate. A lever on the side of the bottom plate then locks that position. The bottom plate has seven universal threaded screw ports via which it attaches to a tripod, shoulder support, crane, jib and other support devices of all major brands.
