I can get 900+ minutes of 4.6k 60p BRAW 12:1 on my Ursa Mini Pro with a 2TB Samsung Evo 860 SSD for the price of a 128gb Cfas card. In hindsight, I'm a little scared to have that much data on one drive (yes you can get smaller drives, but I trust the Samsung Evo 860s, and the only ones on the approved list currently are 2TB and 4TB). And the SSD recorder does add some bulk to the rig, but the biggest problem is that it takes up the main SDI output. If you're using the EVF and the SSD recorder, you have no outputs for a client monitor or a second on-camera monitor. I'm hoping this will be fixed by a simple BNC t-connector to split the side SDI signal, but I haven't received my connector to test yet. (can't split the main-out on the back when the SSD recorder is plugged in because it turns into a data feed instead of SDI). You can easily disconnect the two cables for the SSD recorder, however, and record to CFast cards while using the SDI output on the back when necessary.

Great product, it does make the camera a bit more bulky and it will take you SDI connectors that’s the only inconvenience for me, other than that it works great.

I really didn't want to purchase these SSD drives but it is differently an insurance policy to capture all the footage I need during a shoot. What a great addition to my three Blackmagic URSA 4K

Blackmagic URSA Mini SSD Recorder lets you record Cinema DNG or ProRes files onto standard 2.5" SSD Media with your URSA Mini Pro camera! That means you can use commonly available and inexpensive high capacity solid state media! The SSD media can record full resolution 4K and 4.6K 12-bit RAW files. Plus, SSD media comes in much larger sizes so you can record longer without having to change cards!
