Practically essential for enjoyment of the telescope.

You can?t use the Celestron NexStar telescope without power. It requires 8 AA batteries. They don?t last long, this is a) expensive and b) anxiety provoking after about a hour of use. Plugging in to power from a transformer is cumbersome and may be unsafe in the dark. Charge this power tank in the day and the above problems are gone. This allows for stress free viewing, especially if you have guests.

well made power supply

arrived well packed and in good condition. charge time quick with ample power for my advanced v x mount only got to use it for five hours first observing session but still had almost half charge left. small and lightweight love the red light .straps make it easy to mount to tripod or sit on my table with the long cord.

Seriously Flawed Product

Will not power USB and Telescope at same time, a huge miss technically. Hanging strap doesn't fit correctly in the tabs provided. The mounting Velcro strap doesn't work.

The Celestron Power Tank Lithium has so far lived up to expectations

The Celestron Power Tank Lithium has so far lived up to expectations. The red and white led lights function as advertised. Even for my tired old eyes the lowest setting on the red leds was more than sufficient to read my planisphere, star atlas, and other printed material. Strapped out of the way to the leg of my Advanced VX mount the power tank happily did it's thing. I can't attest to the length of time it can power my scope as the weather, humidity, and other factors have not allowed me to put in a full night observing. My only quibble (4 stars rather than 5) is that the power cord should have a screw on lock to fit the Celestron AVX mount - it is still an accident waiting to happen at the worst possible moment.
