Nice addition to my dash camera

This wiring harness is pretty straightforward, it connects your camera straight to the fuse box in your vehicle. I would recommend it if you want to use the parking mode and not have an unsightly wire leading to the power source. Simple to install and worth every penny.

It worked like it said it would and was pretty straightforward to setup. My only complaint is that the SD formatting wasn?t as clear as I would have liked.

This is the kit needed to enable parking mode

Since installing in my daughters 2020 Mazda CX5 her battery has died 2 times by the morning. I have the limit switch on the highest setting. I can't swear that this is creating the problem but until I installed this she never had a problem. I've since moved the setting down 1 level just in case it might solve the issue. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I have a similar unit in my 2020 Ram 1500 for over 1 year without any issues. I would recommend this product but be aware of potential problems. Lots of you tube videos to help you install correctly on your particular vehicle. You'll also want to buy the piggyback fuse taps to make for an easy and clean install.

Adjustable voltage low voltage protection function, it will cut power to your dash camera when detecting the vehicle battery voltage is below the set number. It has four voltage options 11.8V, 12V, 12,2V, 12.4V. With ACC detection feature, the dash cam will switch to parking mode automatically if the vehicle engine off and switch back to normal recording after vehicle engine on. Please be sure the cable is connected to the camera directly, not through the GPS mount. Support three parking recording modes, auto event detection, time-lapse and low bitrate recording. Also fit for A119/A119S/A119 PRO dash cam, but ACC function will not be available.

Hardwire Kit for Parking Mode
Parking mode provides surveillance on your parked vehicle. When the engine is off, Hardwire Kit is used to provide continuous power and protect your car battery from discharge.

Automatic Parking Mode
With ACC detection, the dash cam will switch to parking mode automatically if the vehicle engine is shut off. The dash cam will switch into normal recording when the vehicle engine is on.

Battery Discharge Prevention
HK3 ACC Hardwire kits will provide continuous power to your dashcam in parking mode until your car battery voltage drops to the configured value.

Configurable Voltage Cut-off
VIOFO HK3 ACC Hardwire kits lets you set a voltage cut-off value with 4 options, when the voltage of vehicle's battery drops to the cut-off value, HK3 will stop powering your dashcam, thus protecting your battery from discharge.

12/24V Compatible
HK3 ACC Hardwire kits connects the camera directly to the car, truck, bus, SUVs or big rig for continuous power, accepts voltage from any type of vehicles runs on 12 - 24V.

Three parking recording options

Auto Event Detection
Automatically record when detecting moving objects or impact while the car is parking, it is like motion detection.

Time Lapse
Photography at specified intervals so that they can playback much faster than real time.

Low Bitrate Recording
Record video continuously at low bitrate to save storage space.

How it works

ACC detection
Working with the VIOFO HK3 hardwire kit can realize ACC mode, which means a more sensitive detection for the start and stop of the car and the optimization of parking mode in a few seconds. Also, with the ACC detection feature, the dash camera supports the switch to parking mode automatically when the car engine off and back to normal recording after the car engine on.

Car battery protection
It also applies low-voltage cutoff to prevent the dash camera from draining the vehicle's battery.

Note:

The HK3 will cut off power supply after 90 seconds to 2 minutes to prevent the car battery voltage fluctuates for a short time.
