Best Tripod I Have ever got my hands on

I have used similar brands like Manfrotto (bulky and heavy), the Vanguard 234 is an alround light weight easy to unfold, versitile and flexible yet stable. I have bought a sony 70-400 zoom lense weighing 1.5kg the body weighs 500 gms. Thats 2 kgs with perfect stability and control. The PH-22 head is amazing, quick and easy to use, pan and tilt to almost all angles, and a quick slip plate for speedy access. I thouroughly reconmend this package to anyone looking for a light weight yet sturdy tripod. I have used this tripod in some very rugged terrain (hard to access places) and it seems that this tripod was made to follow me into those places.

Though I am not a pro (yet), I need good equipment for decent prices and this definately was a good buy. I take it everywhere with me. Good quality-I'm very pleased with it.

The Vanguard Alta 234AP Aluminum Alloy Tripod is designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding photographer, the Alta+ aluminum alloy tripod offers a magnesium alloy canopy and head. The legs can all be adjusted individually to 3 different angles (25° 50° 80°) for uneven terrain and low angle shooting.

The dual locking safety mechanism and anti-shock ring prevent the damage that can be caused by camera vibration and will eliminate any worries you might have about your equipment falling from the tripod during transportation.
