A good selection.

I received my tripod in a timely manner. I was unsure what to purchase but the sales rep was able to help me with a selection. The tripod is very sturdy and stable. Yes it is heavier than the cheaper brands you can pick up in the stores but worth it. I have a heavy lens (150-600mm lens) and it holds it with no problem. I did purchase a gimbal head to go with it. And it holds it all with no problem. The legs extend and retract easily.

Good call

Love it! Very versatile and light weight. Have already benefited from having it. Feet open very quickly - can unlock all three stages in one movement. Very solid to fit a DSLR. No slippage of any joint thus far. Found the need to get an "L" bracket as well. Looks like a lot of people get a swivel head, but this defeats your automatic level in my opion.

Versatile, well-built tripod for the price.

After some testing, I can say this is an amazing tripod. For the price, it is very stable and the build quality rivals that of the more known tripod manufacturers. Right out of the box, I did find that the legs were a little loose but with the included Alan wrench this can be easily fixed. The Multi-Angle Center Column is the main feature of this tripod which is what makes it very versatile allowing the photographer to adapt to many different shooting situations such as getting real low to the ground. The one downside of the center-column is it can get scratched up pretty easy if you're not careful when adjusting. Another great feature is the quarter lock legs. The tripod can be set up in a matter of seconds. The included tripod head, "BH 100" is an awesome addition because it can hold up to 22lb. Unfortunately, I don't own any heavy glass to test it out. With the equipment I do have used, the tripod held it without any trouble. I have included some photos I took with the tripod in windy conditions so anyone reading this review can determine whether this tripod will be worth it.

Solid, Light, Great for video and photo, but head is not as compact as a ball head.

This tripod is solid, light, built like a tank. The head is smooth, easy to control, and the telescoping handles make it store a little better. My only complaint with this head is that it doesn't fold over and store in any kind of compact manner, so it's more awkward to travel with (if you're carrying/flying/etc.). I bought a ball head for travel (also great) and will switch between depending on what kind of shooting I'm doing.

Great tripod

This tripod is great. I am using it for my Vanguard spotting scope. I like the various positions and angles I can put the scope in. I can now look at my shot placement from the bench easily.
