Comfortable fit on my shoulders and back. Large enough to hold my gear with padding to protect. I've had other backpacks which were so heavy without my gear inside, but this one is lightweight.

This has been a great bag. I went from a messenger type back to the back pack as I found I would set up for most of the day and really didn't go into the bag that often. With a back pack I can get low to the ground on shots without worrying about the bag flipping off my back and disturbing my shot. It would be nice if the upper compartment could be divided for little things. I found using a small bag in the upper compartment is great for keeping them in place. Using this bag in airports has been great, they haven't required me to unload it since they can see everything when opened for them. So far it has been comfortable went worn for a long time. It also fits perfect in the overhead bins on the plane.

I'm impressed with the build quality. this is made to last and will protect my equipment. The reason I gave it four stars rather than five is the zippers for the main compartment. The design is such that when unzipped the contents of the upper compartment if loose, may fall out. While not a major inconvenience when I'm trying to grab another lens for a quick shot it means having to pick things up or not being able to quickly put the lens cap on the back of the lens. I would however, buy this again and have in fact recommended this to others.

The perfect bag for my wife to use for our daughters’ sporting events. Plenty of room for all her gear...and enough extra space to make include other items so the purse can stay home.

1 camera, 3 lens, filters, monopod, extra memory cards, and batteries. I actually need more to fill this bag! comfortable should straps that set high on the back making this an easy carry

I bought this bag to be able to fir multiple SLR's in and about 4-5 lenses. I love the space and all the compartments, there is so much room. I also really like that it has a waist strap, for when you go on long hikes and your bag is really heavy. I am taking a trip really soon and I will be able to update my review since I have not used it out for long hikes yet.

I spent weeks trying to decide on the type of carry bag to purchase. After reading reviews and viewing YouTube videos I made my choice. I have no regrets. The Vanguard Alta Rise is well constructed with ample padding to protect expensive equipment. I like the fact that this camera backpack remains upright when standing (a problem with most backpacks designed specifically for laptops) and thus far has retained its shape. The shoulder straps and lower back padding are comfortable. Carrying 2 Canon 5d bodies (one with a 70-200), 2 lenses, Pentax spot meter, Sekonic meter, 2 Speedlites, and IPad Pro feels surprisingly lightweight on the back. While there is room for a Dell XPS 15", the weight of the laptop and power adapter is a bit too much.
