I love this bag. For a documentary filmmaker it’s the perfect solution for travel. I can fit all my production gear, my laptop, camera. Lenses, Ninja V, small rig rail system and my tripod in and on this bag. I highly recommend it to al documentary filmmakers who need to travel with their gear as a one man band!

From the beginning it seemed like a nice bag, but quality of zip makes it all ruined. It simply nit working.

I own the smaller version of it and this one is just as nice. It is rather unassuming and won't scream "expensive camera inside". It is also very comfortable.

First of all, my main reason for buying this bag was for travel. Yes, I have other perfectly good camera bags but I wanted this one because it seems a lot more casual, like an ordinary backpack rather than a big shinning camera bag. This is especially important when traveling abroad, or anywhere for that matter. I prefer to keep as low of profile as possible for obvious reasons. I was really skeptical at first as to the durability of this bag based on a few negative reviews that I had read but I quickly tossed those reviews out the window. I used this backpack daily during a 5 week trip to Southeast Asia. I really had it seriously over packed and over weight but it never once failed or let me down. The bag is very well made and very durable. I was not at all easy on it and it definitely held it's own. Your not going to haul an entire camera store in it but in my case it was plenty adequate for all the camera gear that I needed plus some extra odds and ends. In my opinion, the padded camera compartment provides plenty of protection for camera gear. I tossed the bag around quiet a bit and always felt that everything was well protected. The bag did seem to repel water fairly well also but it does come with a rain cover which is a big plus. My main point here is about durability. This bag is plenty durable. I have other bags that cost twice as much and don't feel that they are any better made than this one. If your looking for a bag that doesn't look so much like a camera bag then this Vanguard HAVANA is definitely a viable option. Especially if you are like me and prefer not to draw unwanted attention or at least minimize the possibility. At the end of the day, this is definitely a great bag at a decent price point. Works for me.

I bought this backpack for a study abroad photography trip to Costa Rica. It has withstood a lot of rain and general sweatiness from myself trekking it into the jungle. It has held up really well so far. My only complaint is that the zippers are a little finicky and require a little bit of fiddling to close. Other than that, this backpack is really, really nice.

Sorry it's just not what I thought it would be actually there's no protection for the camera itself unless you take it apart and put it lower part of the bag there just no strong protection for the top of the bag to leave the camera

This backpack is almost perfect. It is the closest thing I have found to what I want. Which is a backpack that I can hold camera gear and personal items. This backpack is BIG. I have a Mirrorless setup but want to carry several lenses and mirrorless lenses are not small even if the body is. The camera section is on the small side with the insert they give you. I bought another insert and am trying it out to carry more gear in the same section. I have used this bag on one photography job so far and was able to get everything I need packed in. I love the color of this backpack. The picture on the website is true color. The only thing is I wish I could access the gear a little easier. My favorite thing is that on my Europe trip I won’t need two bags.

I must have bought half a dozen camera back packs. This one comes nearest perfection. It does have a waist strap and a cross strap to cinch the two should straps across the chest. The compartment for camera and lenses is almost large enough for a mirrorless camera and tow lenses but it is a tight fit. I have used to bag on longish hikes (4-5 miles) in complete comfort.

Absolutely love it so far, big upgrade from what I use to have. I really love the security in people thinking it is just a backpack. Which reduces chances of people wanting to steal your equipment.

This is my 4th Vanguard camera bag overall. My 2nd backpack. I have the 41 Vanguard Havana backpack version as well. I decided to get this bag because I needed some more space to hold more lenses and more equipment. This bag doesn't disappoint. the pockets are well placed and a huge plus is that the divider that allows you to sit accessories inside the the front top area of the bag can actually be separated to allow for full spacing to convert it into a traditional backpack. What's really funny is when I found it out on my 48 Backpack, I tried it out on my 41 Backpack and wouldn't you know.....it has the same feature on it as well The rain proof cover also is a big plus to keep your equipment dry while I might be wet. That I can live with. Overall and excellent purchase. I highly recommend.

I use backpack for my camera when I travel. I don't like to carry camera by hand or hung on my neck. Only trouble with backpack is there's only one big compartment. I used camera specific backpack but it's too stiff and screams Camera! I love Vanguard Havana 41 for separate compartment enabling ease of use.Vanguard Havana also is not so stiff, it looks and feels like normal backpack. Qualify of material can be upgraded bit but I can't complain forthe price I paid. Totally recommend it. Oh, and did I tell you bag is so light weight?

Recently went on a trip to Japan and Okinawa and this backpack was just what i needed. I was able to carry my D750 and two lenses ( could handle 3 but i only wanted to take two) with plenty of room for accessories including a laptop.

Great for a day trip. The bag is not heavy like many I have tried, but still protects my camera well.

I’ve been looking for a travel backpack that will hold my D750, a couple of lenses, a 13” Toshiba tablet, the usual accessories (extra cards and batteries), and a water bottle without overwhelming my 5’1” height. This one fills the bill. Because the camera is carried in the removable compartment with an extra zipper, access to it is not “quick,” but that was not a priority to me. The extra waist straps tuck neatly away when not in use, and the rain cover is removable so I recently carried it in a smaller bag I was taking to a local baseball game. I can get my 15” Dell laptop in the bag but it’s too tall to zip up, if that’s helpful info to anyone.

I just returned from a seven-day mission trip with my church to build houses in Guatemala. It was my first time, and while I wasn't sure what to expect, I knew we would be traveling in the bed of a pickup truck into the highlands outside Antigua, that it would be very dusty onsite and it would rain once a day. I also had to have space to take a lunch, work gloves, rain gear, sunscreen, water bottle and even a roll of toilet paper...oh and my LUMIX GH5 and LUMIX GX8 and two lenses. The week before I left, I happened to stumble across the Havana 48 backpack on the Adorama site and I couldn't have asked for a better fit. My (mirrorless) cameras and two lenses fit easily into the bottom section and I was able to get everything else into the numerous other pockets. It was comfortable to wear as I hiked up and down some pretty steep terrain in a hot, humid environment. The khaki color was perfect for the dusty worksite and the rain cover was put to use more than once. And, I inadvertently took a shot of it at the worksite one day, which shows it in use. All-and-all, I was extremely satisfied with my purchase and Adorama service since I only had a few days before my trip when I ordered.
