Works well enough
I was looking for a device to hang my camera and binoculars on a single tripod in my back window. This does it. I even attached other tripod heads to the sides. But I found it's still easier for me to keep a single quick-release device on the tripod and switch when I need the binocs, than to keep them both on it: too heavy for me to raise/lower easily with all that weight. So I returned it.

This tripod boom arm allows me to get my camera off the center of the tripod and out where the macro action is. It is a very durable piece of equipment. I like that you can have the camera and numerous flash units on one arm. The unit comes with four attachment points for cameras, flashes or other accessories. With a super clamp, you could add other components. With some additional hardware you could provide a support for a tethered laptop.
My only regret is that Vanguard does not (currently) offer a rotating/pivoting connector between the tripod column top plate and the Multi Mount. That would provide unlimited flexibility. Maybe in the near future(?).
