This tripod is nice because it can shoot with different angles and it stores really easily. It looks nice, but it has no main camera controller. You must hold the camera to get your shot, not the tripod like i'm used to.

The tripod is impressive in design and build. Easy to transport and set up. I especially like the continuously-variable/ invertable center column, and, at 6' 2" with an aging back, I appreciate the vertical height. The ball head and modular quick-release mounting plate works well, if a bit marginal for use with heavier camera (D850) on a macro focusing rail. A handy adjustment tool tethered to the tripod is another nice touch that this old engineer appreciates. Since tightening the mounting plate's 1/4-20 mounting screw relies on a radiused groove machined in the screw head, and I don't always have a quarter in my pocket, I added a large-diameter washer to the toolkit to allow me to tighten the screw when attaching a camera to the plate. I do love the bag: tough cover material; smallish, but decent zippers; accessible/ useable exterior pockets, and good interior storage volume for camera stuff as well as laptops, pads, & documentation. I'm able to carry a D850, five lenses, and some filters & a cleaning kit in the main cavity, and can conveniently insert and remove my camera from the top access port. Much more cost-effective and easier to manage on the road than older, larger Lowepro bag I've used for a while. Having gone through quite a few bags and tripods over the last 45 yrs, I am indeed happy with the bang my buck bought on this deal and would recommend the package, especially for the traveling photographer looking for affordable quality in such accessories.

For my use, this is a great set. The only complaint I have is that with the bag, the opening to get just the camera out is a little too small for my liking. Everything else seems to be good so far. The tripod pans smooth and has a good range of configurations.

The Alta Pro 264AB 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with SBH-100 Ball Head offers generous height, impressive stability, and light weight alongside a comprehensive list of professional functions - primary among which is the 180½ tilting of the center column, which makes a convenient task of macro photography.
The included ball head has separate controls for pan & tilt and smooth locking knobs. With the SBH-100 head on the tilting center column, you'll be able to position your camera easily & securely at virtually any point within a spherical range - and make adjustments to any one dimension without altering the others. With an Allen key you can adjust the tension of the center column's swiveling motion.
Not only macro photography but also any type of outdoor photography will be well-served by the Alta Pro 264AB, which reaches a maximum height of 64.0" and supports up to 15.4 lb. The tripod features spikes that emerge from its rubber feet. At only 5.5 lb with the head, the 264AB is quite portable.
The included SBH-100 is removable and features a +90½ to -35½ tilt range. The head, which also pans a full 360½, comes with a QS-39 quick-release plate. The tripod collar features set screws, so with an Allen wrench you can establish an extremely strong connection with the head.
