I really enjoy this tripod. It is light weight, handles my camera well, and is easy to set up. Only issue is one leg is slightly longer so it doesn?t sit quite level.

I wish that I could give 4.5 stars for this tripod - it's nice, affordable, and super sturdy. There are, however, two things I would take half a point off for: 1) The directions that it came with are horrible. For someone who isn't well versed in tripods (this is the first nice, new one I've ever owned - all the rest have been secondhand hand-me-downs) setting it up was super confusing, and the instructions/directions were totally useless. A little more detail would've gone a long way. 2) Once in hand, it's a bit heavier/bulkier than I expected a "carbon fiber travel tripod" to be. I probably shouldn't complain about this because it's much more affordable than some of the ultra-fancy carbon fiber tripods, and the weight/size IS noted in the listing, but there's something different about the bulk now that I have it. I'm not actually sure I'll be able to use it much for travel.

It's light as expect which was my reason for the purchase. After first use I can say that I'm satisfied, even though I got punch of motion blur in my photo. One thing that annoyed me is the stiffness of the legs when you open them, same think when you try to collapse them.. over all a good travel tripod.

Great tripod. Light, compact, lots of features, and stable enough for mirrorless style cameras and lenses.

This is a great value tripod. It's quick to use, light, compact, and versatile. Overall I'm happy with it. NOW the caveats. What you gain in lightness you lose in rigidity, it wobbles. Especially with the centerpost extended. My studio has a wooden floor and if I stomp around this tripod it will make it wiggle like jello. The centerpost when craned out also can't support a lot of weight. If you want an overhead shot with a pro Dslr/mirrorless camera forget about it. It can do a gopro/compact/cellphone camera at best when craned out at 90º. It's great for use with light cameras in fast paced shooting where absolute rock solid stability is not needed. (long exposure shooters just move elsewhere)

If you need a travel tripod this kit is a good contender at its usual price and at the on sale price it was really a bargain. It is made of carbon fiber which is a strong selling point and the diverse configurations of the legs is great for shooting from nearly ground level. You can remove the center column and insert the supplied short collar which brings the head of the tripod only inches from the ground. I gave the kit 4 stars instead of 5 because the ball-head is quite a basic head with barely adequate friction control. It would be best to use it with a very light weight camera and lens combination, say under 2 pounds total. In my case I have other ball-heads to substitute and will use some of those. The tripod itself can easily handle 10 pounds or more and it can easily attach to a backpack or even be placed inside a larger backpack. Twist lock legs never bind up as snap-lock legs are prone to do so that is another plus for this tripod.

I have been looking for a carbon fiber tripod to replace my aluminum one. My 74 year old bones needed something lighter. The fact that it came with a ball head was a bonus. It is easy to set up and I love that the legs open close to the ground. I was afraid that the ?travel tripod? designation would mean it would not extend to a decent height, but I found it a very comfortable height. I am a very happy camper!

Solid build and sturdy for a travel tripod. Folds up relatively small. A bit heavy, but a good tradeoff for how steady it is.

I picked this tripod up while it was on sale. For the price, it was well worth it. It is light weight, yet sturdy as well as being far more functional than my old tripod.

Amazing, really handy and works amazing with Sony A7RIV with a tele lens. Cheap, handy and gets the job done really well

I’ve been using a Slik U-212 tripod for 46 years for all my landscape photography. With a full frame DSLR it was quite heavy. Nearly 10lbs. The Vanguard carbon fibre is less than half the weight and just as sturdy. The BH-50 ball head locks securely with my Canon 5DMKIV even with a 70-200 lens. Now it’s so much easier on the trail. I consider it a great investment for all my photography.

Since my previous tripod is a mammoth beast with a couple different heads to lug around I decided I needed a more travel-friendly alternative that could fit into my carry-on luggage with my photo backpack. As I didn't want to pay for the beautifully designed but outrageously expensive Peak Design product and, in fact, wanted to keep the price reasonable; I looked at all of the claims/specs of the available options and compared them to what I would want my tripod to do. This Vanguard VEO 2 265CB with its BH-50 Ball Head seemed to be the best of the bunch for the money I wanted to spend and it does everything I want it to do now that I have purchased spiked feet for it. PROs: When folded, two of the legs of the tripod fit tidily into the side pocket of my photo backpack, allowing me to firmly secure the top part of the tripod with a strap and keeping it well secured. The ball head is capable of handling my 70-200 f/2.8 mounted on a full sized DSLR body and holds it firmly in place, even when shifting the orientation to portrait from landscape. The tension adjuster on the ball head is very nicely done and works very smoothly for me. During windy weather the stability is best when some weight is attached, hanging from the base of the center column, but you'll need your own hook or carabiner to connect it. CONs: There is an included low-angle adapter to temporarily replace your center column that is nice to have, but it would be better to have a dedicated pocket in the included bag to keep it more secure than rattling around at the base of the bag. I have since purchased the spiked feet to keep the tripod in place better on mossy rocks and slippery slopes and would have liked to have those included in the price of the tripod and had a dedicated pocket for those as well in the bag. OVERALL: This is a great little tripod, compact and lightweight, with a reasonable load rating. The problems I've found with it are minor complaints at best and I believe the product is well worth the purchase price. This product is exactly what it is supposed to be - it's a lightweight Travel Tripod - and as such it works very well.

The material of this tripod looks good. Really like all the settings and adjustment it provides. Given how lightweight it is, I will likely carry it everywhere. Cost is a plus specially on a deal.

This is a great travel friendly tripod that is stable yet light. I compared it with Manfrotto BeFree Advanced Tripod and a SLIK and the Vanguard VEO 2 265CB is sturdier and lighter. I was apprehensive if the 5 section rollout legs would make it wobbly but once I mounted my EOS 5D with 300mm lens, that apprehension was gone. The only item that I wish was a quick release head Vs the screw type that comes with it. Overall a great product that is well built.

You're probably not going to approve of what I use this tripod for but, I go plein aire painting outdoors and my previous painting set up just got too heavy for me to carry around ( I'm 75 yrs. old) This new tripod is so light and folds up quite small that my weight has been reduced significantly. It is also really cool looking. I like the way the mast folds too.

Collapses small like I needed and is very light due to the carbon. Very stable and easy to use. That said I got it on sale and wouldn’t pay retail for it

This is a good tripod for the price. I believe the sturdiness of the legs is my biggest concern with this tripod. I have seen flexing and bending of the legs while extended out completely. Also note that this is not very tall neither is it incredibly light as you'd expect a CF tripod to be. The price is where it is really sweet. For this price I'm happy to own a Vanguard and is definitely attractive at this price.
