Pretty good tripod

I needed a new light-weight tripod for product shots and practice. This one was reduced-priced because it was an open-box return, and it's from a brand that I always use; every tripod I own is a Vanguard. It's sturdy, holds my camera and lenses securely, and small enough to carry around for outdoor shoots. I gave it 3 stars because I didn't realize when I purchased it the grip head isn't removable, other than that I have no other complaints. I would recommend this tripod if the head could be removed, but if someone prefers this head I say it'll be a purchase.

Well Build, Versatile Tripod with Ball Mount Head and Pistol Grip

I find the Vanguard Vesta 203AGH tripod very unique, given the Pistol Grip design. I was a little skeptical at first about the possibility of the Pistol grip getting in the way of my Camera when I have my 150-600mm Zoom Lens mounted on the tripod however it does not interfere with my camera at all. The Ball Mount swivel head and Quick Release Mount makes this tripod even that much more versatile. The Pistol Grip had a locking device setting for both Movie and Still Photo cameras. It also has a quick release tension adjust that takes very little effort to use, especially when utilizing all the features of the Ball Mount Head. The bottom line is: YES I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight, very versatile tripod.

Small but sturdy

Solid beginners tripod. Would recommend this for new shooters that don't want to invest a lot into a tripod to get started.

Solid lightweight tripod and head.

Super light and seems to be made very well. Initial function testing has everything working correctly. Hoping to get many years out of this. Not sure what the maximum weight recommended, but seems like it would be better for smaller rigs.
