I had a Swiss Classic SD, with a very nice black & white handle which sat in my office desk until I decided to attach it to my key chain. I also have a full size SAK (a Wenger) which I carry on trips and outings but is too large to carry on a daily basis. I went to the auto show in Manhattan and was told by security that I couldn't bring the tiny knife with me. (Was very lucky that they didn't notic the wenger) So i buried it in a planter but someone must have been watching because it was gone when I came back for it. In shopping for a replacement I came across the Swiss Manager which is similar tot he Classic but has and extra tool that serves as a bottle opener/wire stripper/philips head screw driver. it also has a retractable ball point pen so it is quite literally (wait for it) a pen knife. The pen is excellent and I'm glad I decided to upgrade. Interestingly the Manager's tweezers are larger and much more functional that the ones in my Wenger. Advantages of the Manager over the Classic Has the pen and bottle opener etc tool. Knife opens away from the key chain which makes it easier to you without detaching it. The Classic's knife open toward the key chain. Advantages of the Classic over the Manager Has a toothpick. Frankly, I never used the toothpick but apparently there are people who do. A smidgen smaller than the Manager Less expensive Comes with a wide array of handles. Either knife is good but I would go with the Manager. In any case, I suggest you attach the knife to your key chain so as not to loose it but don't forget to remove it when you go to the airport or the Javist Center (where the have the auto show) in Manhattan.

I opted to try the pen as a replacement to the toothpick. Though I've only used the pen a few times, it worked well and has no issues. I do miss the toothpick sometimes though, so I may swap out the tweezers for a toothpick, though it is a little loose in the tweezer slot. Bottle opener and blade are used daily. Awesome keychain accessory.

Recently I forget to check this and had it taken away at the airport; I bought a replacement immediately because I've come to depend on it. Tons of utility in a knife with a profile just a touch thicker than the tiny Classic. Most-used tool? The pen. Favorite tool? The combo. bottle opener and magnetic Phillips screwdriver. Least-used tool? The nail file, though its flat-head screwdriver tip redeems it somewhat.
