The craftsmanship seems to have gone down over the last century, but Victorinox knives are still a mainstay that easily manage a decade-plus of regular use before the plastic handle cover starts coming apart, which is perfectly acceptable at their price point and when I'm almost as likely to lose one before that. The Tinker model is very handy as a pocket knife for the mechanically inclined; this is the fifth of this model I've owned (one of two at present), and expect to get a few more over the years as I use them and lose them.
