Shopper : does it have a twain driver?LARRY F : According to the specs and download disc it says twain, but the disc is out dated and you will not be able to complete the download. I had to call customer service to get the program download. Once the download was complete and began to scan files it corrupted my computer by wipeing out the computer drives. It took serveral days to get my computer close to normal before downloading the Visioneer Drive again. I attempted to start from the beganing again and again, in which each time had to redownload my computer drives that came with my computer. Note also if you want to take a chance of using this, DO NOT WAIT THE 31st Day to try to return or get an replacement because you will be S.O.L.JOHN D : It does and it works great with my HP officejetPro8500A Plus!! ;-)GIBSON C : Yes, it comes with PaperPort 10.0 which includes that driver for Windows. I really like the scanner.R V : Yes, it does have a twain driver. The twain driver was a requirement for use in my application. Also, this is the second scanner of this make and model that I have had. The first one was purchased and put into service in Aug. 2003 and lasted until Jan. 2012. It was a very low maintenance scanner with good performance for over eight years; I have no reason to expect anything different from the new one I just purchased.RAND A : I'm not a techhy but I'm pretty sure that it does as I've seen that term mentioned regaring the scanner and its use. I can tell you that I think its a great scanner, its the second one like this I've had. Simple, cheap and does all sorts of things.

I bought a Pandigital scanner and it was very easy to use, you don't need to know a lot about electronics to use it. I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase. I hope this is helpful for you.JOHN P : I find it easy to use. Best thing to do is print the on-line manual to follow for the first couple of times you use it
