great pair of head phones. Owned for about 2 weeks now and wow! Great highs mids and lows, if you have a dac it wont disappoint. If you dont have a dac it wont disappoint. Depending on your ear size, the xl cushions may be needed.

I would say these headphones are almost perfect, sound great wired and also happen to be the best wireless set I have ever heard. The only down side i can find is the pads may be small for people with large ears as well as lack of aptx HD.

Pros: -Looks great (Mine has rose gold metal frames) -Bluetooth (Cable is detachable. Great if you have bad luck with wires like me) -Portable Cliqfold (Being able to fold them inwards is my favorite feature of the headphones) -Durable (Definitely not going to break easily. Has metal hinges. Headband is very flexible, can withstand 180 degree bending easily.) Cons: -Tight and uncomfortable(-1 star. You're going to have to loosen it up first through repeated headband stretching because it feels like a vice grip straight out of the box) -Sound(-1 star. Came in defective) -Earpads (It's not bad, but I've had better ones. It might be small for some people with big ears. It's also not deep so you're ears will most likely be touching the inside of the ear cups. And so, people opted for the XL memory cushion like me, which means having to spend extra $) Additional: My headphones came in defective. The sound was not balanced at all; the voices were barely audible and certain music didn't go through properly. So I sent it back for an exchange (still waiting at this time). In conclusion The comfort level of this headphone is a deal breaker to me, but I'm going to try to see if I can make it work since I read some other reviews. Have to wait until the replacement arrives first though.

I haven't owned a pair of over-ear headphones so this is my first pair. I got them to use around at office to try and cancel out some of the noise. I purposely got ones that aren't active noise canceling, I'm not a fan. The sound is great, I havent turned them all the way up but from what I have listen to they are great; they do well separating sounds. There was a bit of pressure on my head when I first started wearing them but now that they are stretching out, I can wear them longer and more comfortably. The cushions are nice and soft, they feel very high quality. I love the option of being able to use Bluetooth or corded because I have the iPhone 7 so I can use them with my phone if needed. I also love the ability to customize them, it's always nice to add a little flair to your products. Also, they also look awesome!

I owned a pair of the Crossfade wireless 1 a sound signature I preferred when starting my day because of the pronounced V shape curve. Admittedly coming from listening to my Shure Se846 and trying to go wireless was a mess, I found my ears having to readjust in order to find them enjoyable but adjust they did. Moving into the Crossfade Wireless 2 I had high hopes seeing as how they were tuned first for audiophile music and the Bluetooth just being an add-on afterthought as you will. I compared them against the Sony MDR 1000x which is an excellent Bluetooth headphone by the way. The sound of the Crossfade W2's are very nice lots of details in the highs more than the first iteration with continued sub frequency impact. The problem I have with them is balance. Its just like when I go from my SE846's with a huge frequency range and soundstage to my AirPods, the 846's are miles ahead in audio quality but when I come down to my AirPods they scale down predictably across the board. The Crossfade W1's even with my ears having to adjust felt like a better balance of sound. The Crossfade W2's while admittedly better in SQ left me wanting more because of the improved fidelity. I wanted more sound separation more a bigger soundstage more breath. All of the things I believe you can get out of these headphones when paired with a good audio source/dac/amp. But I believe that defeats the purpose of being wireless. In conclusion I think alot of people will love the Crossfade W2's, they have good SQ and sound better wired for the moments you can take advantage of that, but for me the longing for more made me just use my SE846's which are already wired to get what I felt was missing without the need of having a good amp/dac with me every where I go. PS If I had to choose I would buy the Crossfade W2's for their awesome styling and the Sony MDR1000x for everything else, the technology and features are way better and worth the $ premium especially if your looking for a traveling Bluetooth headphone.

Next Level V-MODA Sound Quality with Hi-Res Audio Certification
Powered by brand new dual-diaphragm 50mm drivers using a hi-resolution CCAW coil that is "Made in Japan", Crossfade 2 is certified by Japan Audio Society (JAS) to Hi-Res Audio standard in wired mode. With an extended frequency range from 5Hz to 40kHz, you can now connect to a lossless music service or 24bit/96kHz playback sources and experience an increased dynamic range, with more precise and sparkling high-frequency definition.
Uncompromised quality means staying true to the Crossfade's award-winning signature sound whether rocking out plugged-in or cord-free. Simply pair the Crossfade 2 Wireless to a Bluetooth device and enjoy the headphones up to 33 feet (10 meters).
A Traveler's Delight: CliqFold Mechanism and Exoskeleton Hard-shell Case
Crossfade 2 Wireless is built to travel, thanks to the innovative patent-pending CliqFold design that folds down to fit into the deceptively small travel case, offering protection from the rigors of the road. With newly added vents (V-PORT) to ensure that air can circulate within to let the headphones breathe after a live performance or a workout, the case also has room to store charging and audio cables along with other extras like USB drives and earplugs.
Larger Cushions for Best Sound, Supreme Comfort and Negligible Noise Leakage
The new memory foam features enhanced comfort and size for all ears. Hundreds of prototypes with small variances were tested by V-MODA's CEO for over three months to perfect every fine detail of the cushions as the "fit is the sound".
Through premium design and components, Crossfade 2 Wireless naturally achieves great analog noise isolation and a pure 3D soundstage without resorting to the active noise cancellation that can pollute pure sound. Although active noise cancellation reduces the perceived background noise, it adds extra sound pressure at the expense of sound quality. Using larger, deeper cushions with an adjustable Steelflex headband that naturally contours to fit your head, Crossfade 2 Wireless keeps the bad noise out and the good noise in.
Control Music and Calls Via Cable or Built-in Mic
The concealed microphone is optimized for phone calls and voice recognition, which is made easier still with the inclusion of a rugged Kevlar-reinforced SpeakEasy cable for wired use.
Crossfade 2 Wireless can even pair with two sources at the same time, for example if at work using laptop or smartphone, or working out using smartphone and smartwatch. The antenna is tuned to work flawlessly with smartwatches' built-in Bluetooth music players. V-MODA's CEO rigorously tested and tuned the antenna for smartwatch Bluetooth performance using nearly every Apple and Android watch on the market.
Premium Materials, Military-Standard Build Quality and Exciting New Colors
As with all V-MODA's products, durability and exquisite material selection was paramount in the design. Crossfade 2 Wireless retains the luxurious combination of steel and metal materials along with improved vegan leather that lives up to the military-standard MIL-STD-810G testing guidelines. The cables are tested and reinforced to bend over 1 million times, up to 100 times the industry standard.
Style has also been upgraded on Crossfade 2 which brings back the fans-favorite color Matte Black (unavailable on the first version) and two all-new luxurious colors: Matte White and Rose Gold.
Customize your Headphones and Endorse Yourself
Crossfade 2 Wireless is compatible with V-MODA's popular accessory ecosystem, so you can own a set of headphones that completely fulfill your needs. The accessory collection includes: 3D printed shields; laser-engraved aluminum shields; BoomPro Mic for gamers, calls and broadcasters; XL cushions; CoilPro cable; 1/3-button SpeakEasy Cables; VAMP DAC/AMP; and the newly released REMIX headphone amplifier + Bluetooth speaker (each sold separately).
Listen from Sunrise to Sunset - and Beyond
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is 15% bigger than the previous version and provides up to 14+ hours of continuous music, entertainment and calls. But unlike most Bluetooth headphones, you can carry on listening with the same sound even when the battery is dead. Plugging in the supplied cable instantly switches the headphones to pure analog mode, which deactivates all onboard electronics for situations where zero latency is important - essential for DJs, musicians, gaming and VR. Once near a power socket, use the included elegant V-Micro USB cable to fully recharge in around two and a half hours.
