I used this tripod for photographing small paintings. It is a light weight tripod, useful for carrying around, but a little too light for studio work. The mount is plastic; however, the camera quick release worked well - a good design. The tilt feature - necessary for getting the image leveled in the frame has too much flexibility - tighten the clamp and it sags a degree or two. I purchased this tripod because it had leg braces, however the brace did not have a clamp, which limited its stiffness. Given that this was a one time use - I did not have access to my good tripod - I was satisfied because the price was fair. After four days of shooting I also realized why pro photographers spend a lot of money on a good tripod.
