Shopper : I'm looking for a good tripod for both stills and Video for Nikon D7000 DSLR. Any reccos for under 300 with fluid head and quick release for the nikon?ALFRED W : I like this tripod more for video shooting than for stills, though it is good for video as well. I just find it to be a bit bulky and cumbersome if you are shooting subjects that are on the move or if you are needing to change locations and or subjects quickly. This tripod also doesn't offer the range of adjustments for positioning it some of the dedicated still photo tripods do. That being said, if you are shooting more video this is an excellent choice. The adjustments are smooth and efficient and the parts are solid so the tripod will hold up for a long time. Just be aware it is more suitable for shooting video and merely functional at shooting stills.MICHAEL P : I shoot with a heavy HDR fx 1000 that tripod is the best I would highly recommend it?
