Solid product

I have have several different Velbon tripods and have never really had any kind of operational failures. The ph-157Q head is functional and easy to operate, plus you can always get parts... Will always go back to the Velbon family of products to consider... Their newest composite tripod is light and extremely stable, I have it also.

Well built tripod head

This is a replacement for my Velbon 156 head that broke. That one was made with white metal and this one is aluminum... seems well made. It fit onto the same 10-24 screw in my Velbon 450 tripod. Easy to use and firm control; would be able to secure heavier cameras.

works as advertised; had bit of a tussle trying to get 3/8-16 bushing shipped, as advertised, but Customer service came thru- finally ... suggest you confirm available bushing sizes B4 ordering this item ...

About Velbon PH-157Q

The Velbon PH-157Q 3-Way Aluminum Pan/Tilt Head (Black Handle) is a traditional tripod head that supports SLR cameras with zoom lenses. It is constructed from strong die-cast aluminum, allowing it to hold heavy loads while weighing just 21.12 oz (600g). The head comes complete with a quick release platform which makes attachment of your camera quick and simple.

A single long pan-handle for both pan and tilt axes enables you to focus more on the subject and provides smooth movement of your camera where precise adjustment is required. The 1/4" female thread is used to connect the head to the tripod firmly.
