Large professional-quality ball-and-socket head made of metal with quick release and shoe made of magnesium. Built-in bubble level in both planes. The rubber pad on the quick shoe is designed for 35mm cameras, or lighter medium format cameras. The quick release plate has a broad support platform that can be mounted in two directions.

It features smooth, sure adjustment, single lever operation with panning and an adjustable position for the lock lever. The large ball diameter is 1.7" (44mm)

The panhead utilises a very strong, lightweight magnesium construction. Magnesium's specific gravity of 1.7 makes it the lightest utility metal, lighter by 2/3 than aluminum and 1/4 than iron, but with superior hardness and strength to both.

Magnesium also copes well with vibration, and retains its dimensions even with changes in temperature. It is also highly resistant to corrosion. In this panhead the ball and socket is metal; the attached quick-release platform & shoe are made of magnesium alloy.
